Just what I actually believe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cross-border work is difficult.<\/strong> <strong>It is also the most interesting work I know.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Behind all the numbers and market realities I&#8217;ve shared across five volumes, there is something data cannot fully capture:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ability to understand differences \u2014 and bridge them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I call this <strong>cross-border capability.<\/strong> And I believe it is one of the most important skills of our time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The definition is simple: Understand what makes each side different. Find where they can genuinely connect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In my work, that means creating a best match \u2014 not just on paper, but in reality. A match where both the company and the candidate grow <strong>beyond what either of them expected.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This is where AI stops and humans begin.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deciding factor in a cross-border executive hire is almost never purely logical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s the moment a candidate feels: <em>&#8220;This company&#8217;s mission is worth overcoming every hardship for.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s the moment a company feels: <em>&#8220;This person understands what we are trying to build.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those moments are <strong>emotional.<\/strong> They require someone who has lived across cultures \u2014 not just read about them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why I will always choose this work.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is something uniquely exhilarating about helping build something from scratch \u2014 in a foreign market, against the odds, with the right person at the helm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the company: a new frontier. For the executive: a step-change in who they become.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I get to be part of that. <strong>That is not a small thing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cross-border business is my identity. It is my mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Japan. China. Dubai.
