【Around 350 Japanese Entrepreneurs Gathered in Dubai! Felt the Power of WAOJE Firsthand!】

On September 22–23, WAOJE’s GVF Dubai was held in grand fashion. I had the honor of helping out at the venue in a small capacity.

The energy of having around 350 Japanese entrepreneurs gather in Dubai from all over the world was simply incredible! I felt truly privileged to be part of the event.

The organizing committee members were truly outstanding, and I’m so happy I had the chance to meet them. Thank you so much!
A special thank-you to Mr. Kazutaka Mori for personally inviting me—I’m deeply grateful.

The performance by Ayumi Sekiguchi, a Dubai government-certified creator, was also fantastic!
I was amazed to discover such a remarkable challenger based in Dubai. She is a shining star ✨ that Japan can be proud of.

I was also able to reunite with senior colleagues from China and finally meet a few people I had long wanted to see. Thank you!

Dubai truly has a magnetic pull, and I’m genuinely glad I made the decision to relocate here.

And now, on a more personal note:
Among the impressive talks given by the three distinguished guest speakers, it was Mr. Koji Yamamoto’s message that struck me the most.
If I may paraphrase freely: “If we keep treating the next generation like they’re fragile, there’s no way they’ll ever become globally competitive.”

I want to help raise a next generation of people who have cross-border capability and the courage to take on challenges.
To do that, I’ll lead by example—crossing borders myself and speaking honestly and passionately to the next generation.

It’s been 7 years since I attended my first WAOJE event in Tokyo and then moved to China. Now I’m in Dubai. How far can I go next?

I’ll continue to live by my motto: “Leaving Japan for the sake of Japan.”
